Oxidation of steel (black oxidation)

Coatings produced in the oxidation process consist of iron oxides. It is a coating used for steel workpieces, mainly high-precision movable parts. These coatings form thin layers of oxides, in colours ranging from black, claret to blackish grey. The corrosion resistance of oxide coatings on steel without additional protection is negligible, and therefore they should be also covered by oil. Black oxidation is also used as an underlay for oil, paint and wax coatings. The oxidation coating process does not cause hydrogen corrosion.

Maximum dimensions of parts: 1850[mm] x 500[mm] x 700[mm].
