 Since the very beginning the Military Aviation Depot No. 2 (WZL-2) has had its base in Bydgoszcz and has been involved in aircraft repair and overhaul. For over half a century the WZL-2 repaired almost all types of fighters in operation in the Polish Air Force: MiG-15, MiG-17, UT MiG-15, Lim-1, Lim-2, SB Lim-2. The founding body of the plant is the Minister of National Defence, yet market economy laws regulate the company’s economic matters. The financial condition of the company depends on the ability to win orders, as well as reliability and high quality of provided services. WZL-2 is a state-owned company.
 WZL-2 prides itself on highly qualified staff with many years of experience in aircraft maintenance and production as well as systematically expanded technical base. The years of transformations in Poland’s economy were marked with intensive work, which now opens up new vistas and brings good results to the benefit of WZL-2. The plant undertakes challenging modernising and organisational enterprise aiming at expanding and modernising the production base of the plant and adjusting its structure to new tasks.
