Electrochemical nickel plating

Nickel coatings are mainly deposited to improve functional properties and as a sub-layer for chrome coatings. They are flexible, and show a very good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, as well as good adhesion to steel or copper surfaces. However, under atmospheric conditions, these coatings tarnish quite quickly, and therefore they should be covered with a thin layer of chrome to maintain the polish.

Technical nickel is used in three areas:

  • regeneration;
  • nickel plating of new products;
  • nickel and chrome plating of new products. Such combination is used so that the nickel coating provides corrosion protection and the chrome ensures the maximum hardness of the surface finish.

Maximum dimensions of parts: 1800[mm] x 500[mm] x 700[mm]
