On June 16–17, 2026, representatives of Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 2 S.A. participated in the 2nd Security and Defense Industry Forum in Toruń – an event dedicated to building national resilience and the transformation of the Polish Armed Forces.
The forum brought together representatives from the military, the defense industry, the scientific community, and public administration, who discussed the directions of the Polish Army’s modernization, new technologies, cybersecurity, unmanned systems, and solutions to strengthen national security.
A particularly important moment for us was the panel discussion titled “Unmanned Aerial Systems – Innovations, Integrations, and Dual-Use Applications,” which was moderated by Jakub Gazda, President of the Management Board of WZL No. 2 S.A. The debate focused on the rapid development of unmanned technologies, their potential applications in both the military and civilian sectors, as well as cooperation between industry, academia, and government in implementing modern solutions.
On the second day of the Forum, we also participated in the “Workshop on the Latest Dual-Use Technologies,” where the Head of the UAV Department at WZL No. 2 S.A., Dariusz Biernat, presented the company’s expertise, experience, and potential in the field of unmanned systems. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase ongoing projects, exchange experiences, and discuss the future directions of dual-use technology, which is playing an increasingly important role in both the defense and civilian sectors.
The Forum’s program also included topics related to the use of artificial intelligence, the automation of combat systems, the development of long-range artillery, national cyber resilience, and the construction of a modern civil defense system.
An integral part of the event was an exhibition of military equipment and modern defense technologies, showcasing the latest solutions used by the Polish Armed Forces. WZL 2 presented its “Wizjer” Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
We would like to thank the organizers for creating a space for sharing experiences, substantive discussions, and building cooperation to promote the security and development of the Polish defense industry.
