On July 8, a meeting was held at the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense in Sofia between Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of National Defense, and Katerina Gramatikova-Ivanova, Deputy Minister of Defense of Bulgaria. Representatives of the Polish Ministry of National Defense and the Polish defense industry also participated in the talks.
Representatives of the Management Board of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. and Jakub Gazda, PhD, President of the Management Board of Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 2 S.A., also participated in the event as members of the government delegation.
During the discussions, issues related to military and defense industry cooperation were addressed. The parties emphasized their commitment to continuing existing bilateral relations and presented Polish projects based on proposals within the SAFE program.
The delegations noted their shared views on the assessment of existing threats and challenges, as well as the need to continue cooperation in the future.
