On 6-7 October, Bydgoszcz hosted two major events dedicated to the development of the defence sector and advanced technologies: the Dual-Use & Defence Bydgoszcz 2026 International Dual-Use and Defence Technology Fair and the Regional Defence Industry Forum, held concurrently and organised by the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ).
Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 2 S.A. (WZL Nr 2 S.A.) actively participated in both events. The Dual-Use & Defence Bydgoszcz 2026 exhibition provided an opportunity to showcase the Company’s capabilities and expertise in the field of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and advanced technological solutions.
At the WZL Nr 2 S.A. stand, visitors had the opportunity to explore:
- ORLIK UAS
- WIZJER UAS
- STRIKER UAS
- FPV Unmanned Aerial System
- MAKO x1 Hand-Launched UAV System
WZL Nr 2 S.A.’s participation also extended to the conference programme. Jakub Gazda, President of the Management Board of WZL Nr 2 S.A., took part in the panel discussion entitled “Local Content: Best Practice Examples”, where participants discussed the role of domestic industry, the development of national competencies, and opportunities to increase the involvement of Polish companies in defence projects.
At the same time, representatives of WZL Nr 2 S.A. participated in the Regional Defence Industry Forum organised by PGZ. One of the key topics discussed was the potential for cooperation between PGZ and private-sector companies, as well as the opportunities to leverage the expertise and technologies of Polish enterprises in projects supporting the defence sector.
Both events provided a valuable platform for engagement among representatives of industry, government, the military, business, and the technology community. They also offered opportunities to exchange experiences, present the capabilities of Polish companies, and discuss the future direction of the national defence industry.
The events were also attended by Minister Katarzyna Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, who met with exhibitors and reviewed the technologies and capabilities presented by participating companies.
For WZL Nr 2 S.A., participation in both events was not only an opportunity to showcase the technologies currently being developed by the Company, but also to engage in discussions on building strategic partnerships and strengthening the domestic supply chain for the defence sector.
