Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze No. 2 S.A. and Lockheed Martin have signed a new five-year Agreement to provide maintenance support for Polish Air Force F-16 fighters. The agreement, signed yesterday, builds on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) concluded between Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and Lockheed Martin in January 2020. It underlines the U.S. company’s commitment to working in partnership with Polish industry to deliver national defence capabilities and sustain jobs for Polish workers.
Through this agreement, WZL2 will provide a number of advanced services, such as technical support, engineering analysis, integration of systems and technical support at airbases to support the Polish F-16 fighter fleet. This work evidences Lockheed Martin’s promise to support WZL2 in developing its maintenance capabilities for Poland’s 48 F-16s.
WZL2 defines the development of competences as a priority in company’s activities related to the provision of services for domestic and foreign customers.
