Inauguration of the process of handing over Unmanned Aircraft Systems Sets of the mini class, program codenamed Wizjer

Today, i.e. on May 29, 2025, a gala ceremony was held at the Military Aviation Works No. 2 S.A. in Bydgoszcz to mark the start of the transfer process of the mini class Unmanned Aircraft Systems Sets, implemented under the program codenamed WIZJER.

The event was attended by representatives of state authorities, the Polish Army and the national defense industry. The ceremony had a special dimension – a symbolic beginning of a new era for Polish tactical reconnaissance.

The Wizjer system is an advanced reconnaissance tool dedicated to battalion-level operations. It is capable of carrying out missions in difficult atmospheric conditions and is tightly integrated with command systems. It enables precise localization and identification of observed objects, significantly improving the operational capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces.

The first sets of the system have already been delivered to selected military units this week.

The system was developed under a contract executed by a consortium consisting of:

  • Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (consortium leader),
  • Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 2 S.A. (technical leader),
  • Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 S.A., branch in Dęblin, in cooperation with the Air Force Institute of Technology.

We are pleased to emphasize that our team is playing a key role in building Poland’s modern defense capabilities and developing technologies that truly support the country’s security. We are extremely proud of our employees – it is their commitment, knowledge and passion that are behind the success of the “Wizjer” program. This project is a joint effort and proof that the Polish defense industry can provide innovative solutions at a world-class level.
