On August 11, Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze No. 2 S.A. signed a contract for a major overhaul of 6 RD-33 engines for MIG-29 aircraft with the Ministry of National Defense of Bulgaria. The contract was signed to ensure the airworthiness of the MiG-29 until it is operational for combat duty with the new F-16 Block 70 combat platform.
