On 29 December, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defence, an agreement was concluded between Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ, Polish Armament Group) and the Armaments Inspectorate for the production of 25 sets of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) class MINI in the WIZJER program. The agreement will be implemented by 2027.
Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa has competence in the design and production of unmanned aerial vehicles, thanks to which it participates in all key modernization programs of the Polish Army. NeoX-2 UAVs will be produced by a consortium consisting of PGZ S. A., the leader of the consortium, Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze No. 2 as the technical leader, and Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze No. 1 as the manufacturer of composite structures. The MINI class UAVs are intended for use in the Land Forces at battalion level. The weight of the entire system in the portable version does not exceed 50 kg, and the take-off weight of the UAV itself is 13 kg. The BSP NeoX-2 takes off automatically, using a composite launcher, and performs an automatic landing maneuver using a parachute and an airbag. It is operated by two people. The flight preparation time is very short and is up to 15 minutes.
